Squad Profiles

Peebles Athletic U13’s

  • Liam Fulton - The best goalkeeper in the Under 13’s 2A League.  Bar none. A modern-day goalie who acts as our sweeper keeper.  An outstanding first season in eleven’s football.  Liam will only improve next season and grow into an exceptional goalkeeper.
  • Alex Lintott - Alex has a great attitude and is progressing into a fine footballer.  With one of the hardest shots in the team and becoming more confident with every game, Alex is tipped to be one of the stand-out players next season
  • Callum Waldie - Technically sound and with an ability to play in many positions, Callum is growing into the role of central midfielder.  Callum’s got a great attitude and is also a popular member of our squad.
  • Cameron Cormack - Over the course of this season, Cameron has played very well in several positions.  He is also very assured in midfield and scored his first goal for the club recently.  Cameron is very popular with team mates and is a key part of the squad.
  • Cameron Dickson Raeburn - A strong tackler with the ability to pick out a pass, Cameron has excelled this season.  He also scored one of the goals of the season – a 35 yard, top corner thunderbolt against Penicuik FC (pretty sure he almost took the net off!)
  • Daniel Cockburn - A third of the Cockburn – Mackay – Forsyth goal-scoring partnership, Daniel has scored many goals and provided lots of assists over the course of the season.  Improved technically game on game and always gives his all.  Big season ahead.
  • Frankie Masson - A tough tackling midfielder, Frank is an influential player in the Athletic team.  Blessed with natural skill and talent, Frankie is an asset to the team.  This was apparent in some of our most important games of the season, where Frankie played a pivotal role in the team’s wins.
  • Jack Sykes - Jack is a popular member of the Athletic squad and has developed well over the course of the season.  Showing good technical improvement, Jack’s development will continue next season where he can play a key part in the team’s season.
  • Ewan Learmond - With a fantastic attitude and sound technical ability, Ewan has enjoyed a good season.  Has scored some important goals and is an asset to the team.  Ewan is growing in confidence and has a big season ahead.
  • Robbie Mackay - At times, Robbie has been unstoppable this season.  A classic centre forward, Robbie has scored over 50 goals this season (despite missing a month out injured).  He’s scored a variety of goals and no defence in the league could cope with Robbie.
  • Marcus MacMillan - Marcus is one of our best defenders.  He has improved considerably over the course of the season, showing grit, determination and skill.  With further commitment, Marcus will continue to grow as a key player next season.
  • Nathan Clark - Nathan has played consistently well this season and scored some very important goals.  With a good technical ability and fantastic attitude, Nathan has all the attributes to go on and be a fine footballer.  He also scored one of the memorable goals of the season – a lob over the goalkeeper – as Athletic won 1-0 away to Easthouses Star A.
  • Rory Pyman - Rory is one of the most improved players this season.   The supporters regularly recognised Rory’s vast improvement this season – his tackling, passing and ball skill improvements apparent to all.  Our Philip Lahm!
  • Robbie Weir - With a great attitude, dedication and perseverance, Robbie has steadily improved this season.  Someone who always gives their all, Robbie has also scored some important goals too.  With continued application, Robbie will improve further this season.
  • Liam Forsyth - Liam has contributed to some of the most memorable moments of the Athletic’s season – in particular the injury time winner against league leaders, Currie Star FC (which supporters – and most of Peebles High Street – will remember, thanks to the Hampden like roar which greeted the ball hitting the net).  It was like the fans danced to DISCO.
  • Spencer Ramsay - Consistently sound, a great reader of the game and with a superb attitude, Spencer has been outstanding this season.  A stand-out player, Spencer’s qualities have shown through to players and fans alike.
  • Connor Houston - Connor has recently joined the Athletic and is proving to be a very popular member of the squad.  With a cultured left foot, great attitude and commitment, Connor will play a key role next season.
Peebles FC u13s

  • Lewis:  A consistently solid performer, strong in defence with an excellent eye for a through ball.  One exceptional hat-trick in 10 mins vs Edinburgh city with 3 back post volleys shows his poachers instinct
  • Rhys:  Great close ball control and a quick footballing brain make Rhys a classy looking player on the pitch.  Capped by scoring the goal of the season albeit in an unfortunate defeat.
  • Ben:  A solid warrior in defence who was finding his voice toward the end of the season until too many headers saw him having to come off.  Has the proud record of the only player to get booked this season
  • Jordan:  On his day a highly combative and tricky midfield dynamo. We just hope that day is on a Sunday!  His corners have seen him rack up most chances created, unfortunately too often with no one getting on the end of them.
  • Thomas:  Pacey, tricky player who has been used on the wing for most of the season, often found cutting in to great effect creating more chances for others than himself
  • Conor:  Many outstanding performances at left back across the whole season from a deceptively strong and skilful player.  Very reliable and rarely puts a foot wrong.
  • Daniel:  Joined mid-season and fitted straight in with the team.  Plays with his brain as well as his feet and often appears to be one step ahead of everyone else when reading the game.  A late recipient of his cup final trophy but still got a cheer form his teammates
  • Olly:  One of the standout players of the season Ollie’s shot stopping has been regularly commented on by opposing coaches, and has kept us in the game (or the score down) on regular occasions.  Also one of the quietest players on the pitch, if not off it…
  • Keith - A pacey, strong striker with an eye for goal. Strong player who's happy running through the middle of the park and cracking a few goals in.
  • Rory - our right midfielder who never gives up. Loves to take a run down the wing before whipping the ball across for his team mates. A feisty little lad who's stronger than he looks!
  • Evin - joined mid-way through the season and has been a fantastic addition. He's got great skills on the ball with both feet and can play anywhere in midfield. The best hair in Peebles FC!
  • Fraser - centre forward who's as fast as a whippet! Shows great flair when striking the ball and scored plenty of goals this season for Peebles.
  • Stan – Has played in every position this season and is not afraid to put his head into a challenge, even when in Goal. A strong and robust player when required that also has pace and finesse in his locker. Has spent large parts of the season trying to score from the halfway line, no success yet, but we are sure it will happen someday!
  • Mark – A player that packs pace, passing and tough tackling into his game as well as the odd moment of day dreaming, when he gets rudely awoken by the chorus of coaches’ shouts of “Mark” as the ball approaches!
  • Liam – An assured and dependable player that plays to the same high standard every week. Plays with his head, expert at the last ditch tackle, will send the ball into the tweed if required or will swagger out from the back with the ball at his feet like a modern day Beckenbauer.
  • Frey – An athletic dead-ball specialist. Beckham-esque in his run up and approach to a free kick, scoring the majority he has taken. Always keen to play in goal at training, his fellow players and coaches are less keen to see him in the sticks! One of the few talkers in the team, especially when it comes to telling the coaches what went wrong and how to put it right!
  • Brodie- Scored on his debut away to Eyemouth, a keen player that is always willing to play in any position.
